A beautiful day in the Streets of Lisboa

June 23, 2017 Lisboa, Portugal

Lisbon's old center (or the districts of Alfama and Bairro Alto) is mostly made up of narrow cobblestone alleys and pastel-colored houses. Many of those houses are now begging for a fresh coat of paint (unbelievably-low rent-controlled apartments mean landlords can't afford or lack the incentive for the constant maintenance), but there's a certain decadent charm in that, as you will find out, passing under their victorian lamps, wrought-iron balconies filled with flowerpots, the occasional  tourists and locals breathing in the fresh air, or laundry flapping in the wind... Browsing the shop windows, sitting at a cafe table, enjoying the aroma of coffee, watching the world go by...

Lisboa is always a good idea...I love my city.
